Cold Brew Coffee
- 1 ½ cups cold brew coffee (store-bought or homemade)
- Ice cubes
Maple Sweetener
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Salted Cold Foam
- ¼ cup heavy cream (or half & half for a lighter version)
- 2 tbsp milk (any kind)
- ⅛ tsp sea salt
- Sweeten the Coffee: In a glass, stir together the cold brew coffee, pure maple syrup, and vanilla extract until the mixture is fully combined and smooth. Then add ice cubes to chill the drink.
- Make the Salted Cold Foam: In a small bowl, combine the heavy cream, milk, and sea salt. Using a milk frother or a whisk, whip the mixture until it thickens slightly and becomes foamy, creating a creamy salted foam topping.
- Assemble the Drink: Gently pour the salted cold foam over the sweetened cold brew, allowing it to float on top. Finish by sprinkling a small pinch of sea salt over the foam for an added burst of flavor.
Notes
- Use half & half instead of heavy cream for a lighter foam option.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream and milk with coconut cream and almond milk, adjusting whipping as needed.
- Adjust the amount of maple syrup per your preferred sweetness.
- Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
