Ingredients

Scale

Meat

  • ½ pound Hatfield Thick-Cut Hardwood Smoked Bacon
  • 1 3-pound Hatfield Classic Boneless Ham

Spread

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 10-ounce block yellow cheddar cheese, shredded (approximately 3 cups)
  • 1 8-ounce container sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup scallions minced small, tops and bottoms (34 scallions)
  • Dash of your favorite hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Bread & Finishing

  • dozen soft pull-apart slider rolls
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking both the bacon and sliders.
  2. Cook Bacon: Lay out the bacon strips on a parchment-lined sheet tray and bake until crisp, about 15 to 20 minutes. Drain the cooked bacon on paper towels, allow it to cool, then chop it into small pieces. Set aside the bacon and keep the oven on.
  3. Slice Ham: Using a very sharp knife, carefully slice the entire ham into thin slices. Set these aside for assembly.
  4. Prepare Spread: In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, minced scallions, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, kosher salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  5. Add Bacon to Spread: Add the chopped cooked bacon to the cheese mixture and stir thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
  6. Prepare Slider Rolls: Slice each pull-apart slider roll in half horizontally. Evenly spread the prepared cheese and bacon mixture on both the top and bottom halves of all 18 rolls.
  7. Assemble Sliders: Distribute all the ham slices among the bottom halves of the rolls, folding larger slices as needed to fit inside the roll. Then place the top halves onto each slider.
  8. Arrange in Baking Pan: Place each assembled slider tightly packed into a 9×13-inch baking pan or a similarly sized pan depending on your rolls.
  9. Brush with Butter and Cover: Brush the tops of the sliders with melted butter, then cover the pan with parchment paper and foil to retain moisture during baking.
  10. Bake Covered: Bake the covered sliders in the oven for 10 minutes to warm through and meld flavors.
  11. Bake Uncovered: Remove the parchment and foil cover and bake for an additional 15 minutes uncovered to allow the tops to brown and become slightly crispy.
  12. Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven and serve immediately while warm and gooey.

Notes

  • Bacon can be cooked in a skillet if you prefer stovetop cooking, but baking ensures even crispiness.
  • Use soft, pull-apart slider rolls for best texture and ease of eating.
  • The spread can be made a few hours ahead and refrigerated to enhance flavor melding.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of hot sauce to suit your preferred spice level.
  • Leftover sliders can be reheated covered in foil at 350°F until warmed through.
