Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter a 9×13-inch baking pan to prevent sticking. You’ll be layering ingredients in this pan, seasoning each layer with salt and pepper for balanced flavor.

  3. Add Ground Beef and Rice: Spread the uncooked lean ground beef over the potato and onion layers. Next, sprinkle the uncooked white rice evenly over the ground beef. This layering allows the rice to cook slowly by absorbing the flavors and liquids during baking.
  4. Pour Tomato and Broth Mixture: Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning over the layered ingredients.
