Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper, to sprinkle before eating

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in air fryer: Take the eggs straight from the refrigerator and place them carefully into the air fryer basket. No need to preheat the air fryer.
  2. Cook eggs: Set the air fryer to 250°F (120°C) and cook the eggs based on your preferred doneness: 14 minutes for soft-boiled, 15 minutes for medium-cooked, or 16 minutes for hard-boiled eggs. Note that cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer model and egg size.
  3. Cool eggs: Using tongs, transfer the cooked eggs immediately into a bowl filled with ice water. This stops the cooking process and makes peeling easier. Let the eggs soak for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Peel eggs: Gently tap the eggs on a hard surface to crack the shell, focusing on the wider end which has an air pocket. Peel starting from this end by inserting your fingers between the shell and the egg white to loosen the shell without damaging the egg.

Notes

  • Size of eggs and wattage of air fryer can affect cooking time, adjust as needed.
  • Using ice water immediately after cooking prevents overcooking and helps create an easy-to-peel shell.
  • If unsure about doneness, test one egg first before cooking the full batch.
  • Season eggs with salt and pepper after peeling to enhance flavor.
